Stressful Thoughts

Very few tasks are enhanced by being worried, anxious and fearful. Helping children to be ready to face a challenge by creating anxiety is doing just the opposite. The more the anxiety, the more likely a child won’t be able to do his/her best. Encourage your child to take a moment to take a few deep breaths. Deep breathing calms and relaxes. Focus on the breathing. By doing it yourself, you model a simple, but valuable technique.
