Hopefulness or Helplessness?

Which of these motivates the human spirit of our children? Which of these do we convey?

To some people a kick is a boost towards the desire to make something better, but to many others a kick is debilitating. A parent who encourages a child to be the best that they can be, but uses language that expresses disappointment and a hopelessness conveys a different message. Words have power. Actions have power. Words and actions create an environment of hopelessness or hopefulness. Let’s choose our words carefully, choose our actions carefully and choose thoughts that create hopefulness. Let’s surround ourselves with people who display hopefulness.

Though the world may not be as we would like it to be and our circumstances are not as we would like them to be, we need to find the hopefulness in the human spirit.
